A Collaborative Approach

Every consultant within the SENsAble Network brings unique expertise, professional knowledge, and lived experience. What connects us is a shared commitment to proactive inclusion, humanised communication, and mutual advocacy for children and young people.

Mutual Advocacy

We believe children thrive when the adults around them work together, not in isolation. By building stronger communication between families, practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams, we help create joined-up, meaningful support.

Meet the Network

As SENsAble grows, our multidisciplinary network of specialists will continue to expand. Each consultant brings valuable expertise and a commitment to child-centred, inclusive practice.

Karina Jay Walker MA, BA (Hons), PGCE

Founder and Inclusion Lead

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree (with Honours) in Primary Education with SEND and Inclusion
  • Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in SEND and Inclusion
Karina founded SENsAble Consulting after years of experience within education, SEND, inclusion, and advocacy. Through academic research, professional practice, and lived experience, they developed a deep understanding of the challenges families and practitioners face within adversarial systems.

Due to their own undiagnosed needs, Karina left education during Sixth Form. Travelling and working abroad helped shape their understanding of fulfilment, learning, and human potential.

Returning to the UK, Karina worked in mainstream and specialist educational settings, implemented Forest School and Outdoor Learning programmes, and supported children with additional needs. These experiences deepened their understanding of how inaccessible education can be for many young people.

During further study in SEND and Inclusion, Karina discovered their own ADHD diagnosis, helping them better understand both themself and the barriers many children face.

While studying Educational Leadership and Management, Karina’s research highlighted a difficult reality: many families still face fragmented systems, traumatic experiences, and barriers to accessing support.

SENsAble Consulting was created from a belief that things can be better for children, families, and practitioners alike.

Hana is a Senior Associate at SENsAble Consulting, where she brings over 10 years of experience in Early Years education and a deeply human approach to early childhood development.

Before pursuing a Master’s degree in Education at the University of Reading, Hana was principal of a Waldorf Kindergarten, an experience that brings a unique perspective to early years education, nurturing environments, and child development.

She is an Early Years education specialist with a deep belief that the earliest years of a child’s life are the most powerful in shaping their future. She believes that childhood should be protected as a time of wonder, where learning unfolds through curiosity, movement, creativity, and connection to the natural world.

Her approach is inspired by Waldorf education and grounded in a belief in nature-based, play-led, and experience-driven learning. She has dedicated her career to understanding how children grow, learn, and thrive, especially in their earliest stages of development.

At the heart of her work is a commitment to honouring each child’s individuality: not only supporting development, but also shaping confident, resilient, and compassionate human beings.
