Parents and Caregivers Matter
Drawing on Vygotsky’s work and the SEND Code of Practice, we believe parents and caregivers are experts on their children, and many have necessarily become experts on the SEN system. Their perspectives should not only be heard, but respected, valued, and meaningfully included in decisions.
Practitioners Need Support Too
We believe practitioners deserve support, clarity, and connection. Their expertise should be recognised, trusted, and acted upon without unnecessary bureaucratic barriers. We offer bespoke training packages, and encourage practitioners across disciplines to join our network of trusted consultants seeking to improve education for all children.
Proactive Inclusion
Schools should be prepared for the diversity of children who walk through their doors. Inclusion should not begin only when a child starts struggling. It should be built into culture, training, environments, and everyday practice.
Why the Mushroom?
Real change does not start with what we can see. It starts underneath the surface.
Mushrooms and mycelium networks represent the kind of change we want to create. Mycelium connects, nourishes, and supports entire ecosystems quietly and intelligently. It bridges gaps, shares resources, and strengthens what already exists.
The Symbolism
The mushroom cap represents visible outcomes and educational experiences.
The stem represents the structures supporting those outcomes, including staff training, organisational culture, and practitioner beliefs.
The mycelium represents the unseen systems that make everything possible, including communication, inclusive policies, equitable resource allocation, staffing structures, and relationships.
